Privacy Policy

The short version
FamilyRally collects only what it needs to send recovery updates to the people who care. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it with anyone who doesn't need it to make the service work.
What we collect
- Page creators: your email address (to receive your admin link), the patient's name, medical procedure, and any updates you post.
- Subscribers: your name and email address (to send update notifications and confirmation emails).
- Guestbook visitors: your name and message content.
- Patient (optional): their email address, if the page creator chooses to send them a private link.
We do not collect passwords. Access is handled through one-time links sent by email.
How we use it
- To send you your admin link when you create a page
- To confirm subscriber email addresses before sending notifications
- To deliver update notifications to confirmed subscribers
- To provide unsubscribe functionality
- To send the patient a private link or guestbook digest, if requested
That's it. We don't use your data for anything else.
Third-party services
FamilyRally uses a small number of trusted services to operate:
- Supabase — stores page data, subscriber lists, and messages. Data is hosted in the United States.
- Resend — delivers transactional emails (admin links, confirmations, update notifications).
- Vercel — hosts the application.
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (page views, traffic sources). We use cookieless mode: no analytics cookies are set and IP addresses are anonymized.
Data retention
Your data is retained as long as the recovery page exists. When a page is deleted, all associated data — updates, subscribers, and messages — is permanently removed.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from a page at any time using the link in any notification email. Page creators can delete their page (and all associated data) from the admin panel. If you need help removing your data or have any privacy questions, email us at hello@familyrally.org.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top. We don't have a way to notify existing users directly, so check back if you're curious.
